PLCopen Korea seminar was held on July 9, 2015 Thursday at the KOAMI building ( Photo attached).

This seminar was given to the audience of about 15 people by Dr. Il Gyun Chung, Korea Electronics Technology Institute ( KETI,  http://www.keti.re.kr/home/index.aspon) on a R&D project  titled “Development of GMC based on Standardized KOSMOS(Korea Open Source Motion System for Automated Manufacturing” that was sponsored by the Korean government.

KETI is a government R&D institute and took a lead role as the main leader of this R&D project consortium consisting of Korea Institutes of Industrial Technology( KITECH,  http://eng.kitech.re.kr/main/), University of Seoul (www.uos.ac.kr)  and private sector enterprises such as Higen Motor (http://www.higenmotor.com/eng/popup_view.asp?id=notice&no=216 ), Doolim Robotics (http://www.doolim-robotics.com/?lang=eng ) and  Shinsung FA.( https://www.shinsungfa.kr/eng/index.asp).

This seminar topic was selected to highlight the significance of R&D collaboration to co-develop and share open source motion systems combining synergy among the Government, academic and industrial communities.
We expect PLCopen will provide an active flat form to promote such synergy in near future.
